Attorney Rapkin has helped thousands of Florida residents get divorced quickly and affordably.

Port Charlotte Divorce Attorney
Divorce Lawyer Serving Charlotte & Sarasota Counties, Florida
You may be able to obtain a finalized divorce at the Florida firm of Jeffrey A. Rapkin, Esq. in just 20 days. Our Hillsborough divorce attorney understands that not all Floridians can afford the high cost and major stress levels of the standard divorce process. Divorce as typically practiced by traditional family law firms can cost upwards of tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the complexity of issues and the conflict level of the spouses. Even less complicated cases can range as high as $5,000.
At our Port Charlotte family law firm, our experienced Florida divorce attorney has changed all that through a streamlined divorce process I have devised. We call it a “20-day” process because Florida law requires you to wait 20 days before a judge can sign your final divorce order. 20 days is not a guarantee, however, as certain factors may extend that timeframe.

Jeffrey A. Rapkin
My name is Jeffrey Rapkin and I can get you divorced in as few as twenty days.
I've been an attorney since 1996. I've streamlined the entire process and the total cost for everything is $1500. The reason I call it a "20 day" process is because Florida Law requires you to wait 20 days before a judge signs your final divorce order. I use my App I created to complete every document needed for you to be divorced from your spouse. I am a mediator/attorney and my process is simple, fast, and inexpensive. You and your spouse meet with me, I use my App to complete your papers and your documents are electronically uploaded (E-filed) with the Clerk's Office. The entire process takes a couple of hours and you leave my office knowing that everything you need is completed, handed in, and waiting for the judge to sign. Twenty days after our meeting, you get an email from me which has your divorce judgment attached. I take care of everything. You never have to set foot in a courtroom.
The divorce process at my firm is simple, fast, and inexpensive. However, it only involves uncontested divorces. This means that you and your spouse can agree on all the issues related to your divorce.
These issues include the following that may be appropriate for your case:
- Child custody and parenting plans
- The division of marital property and debt
- Child support
- Alimony
Our experienced Port Charlotte attorney's divorce process takes one to a few hours, depending on the circumstances of your case. When you meet with us, our Florida divorce lawyer will complete all the necessary documentation and digitally upload it to the County Clerk’s Office.
How Much does a Divorce Cost in Florida?
While cost can vary depending on which lawyer you consult with, our entire cost for everything is $1500. This includes the Clerk's fees and any other filing fees. People often ask me: "does this include the settlement agreement?" and "does it include parenting plans?" The answer is yes, everything is included.
As a couple, when you meet with our Port Charlotte divorce attorney to complete the process, you will pay one low flat fee. You never have to step into a courtroom to endure the time, expense, and stress of a trial. In approximately 20 days or longer, you will receive your Final Judgment of the Dissolution of the Marriage.

Some examples of my recent cases where I used my process and I got Final Judgments of Divorce for people. The paperwork was done in a day (or much, much less) and Final Judgments were entered very quickly. See for yourself!
